Parent Rally/Be There! Campaign

PARENTS ARE POWERFUL ROADSIDE CAMPAIGN

THIS SATURDAY!!!

The Rockdale County Public Schools Parent Advisory Council (PAC) will sponsor its inaugural Parents are Powerful Rally and Roadside Campaign on Saturday, February 27, 2010. The event is being held in conjunction with the district’s National Parent Leadership Month activities, which will recognize, honor, and celebrate parents for their vital leadership roles in their homes and communities. PAC is seeking county-wide support for the Rally and Roadside Campaign with the goal of inspiring even greater parent participation in our schools and between parents and their children at home. Success on February 27 will require involvement from an array of organizations and individuals, including PTO, PTA, Booster Club officers, Parent Liaisons, Parent Mentors, Parent Educators and individual parents.

Specifically, we are asking you and/or your organization to participate in the Parents are Powerful Rally scheduled for 10 a.m. at Rockdale Career Academy and the subsequent Roadside Campaign. The rally will feature a lively program designed to celebrate parents. At 10:30 a.m., we will assemble into four teams that will disburse throughout the county and stage a Roadside Campaign to include positive parenting messages to motorists and shoppers. (Posters and banners will be provided.) The Roadside Campaign is scheduled between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. You and/or your organization can commit to participating for a single hour or the full two hours.

Please make plans to join us for this highly demonstrative display of support for Rockdale parents and our children. We look forward to your participation.
